Pudding Tin

When we first got the new metal torches, it was suggested that we could use ends cut from steamed pudding tins to sit in bottom of the ball holder to protect them from ash and such.

This turned out not to work awfully well, as the first ball to go in tended to fill the tin end with paraffin, which could then splash flame all about.

However, the pudding tins (collected at a steamed pudding and icecream party - we really must have another sometime!) turned out to be useful as a test of whether or not a torchball was the right size - if they're too big to fit into the tin, then they'd have problems fitting into the torches.
